Coins for Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the goal of providing Christmas for disadvantaged children in the Washington County area of Southern Utah. 100% of all funds raised are used for this purpose. There are no administrative costs or paid staff, everyone working with Coins for Kids is a volunteer. All donations are completely tax deductible. The money that is raised for this effort comes directly from the community in the form of individual donations as well as corporate donations.
Coins for Kids is not a perpetual assistance program. To serve as many families as possible in Washington County, families are only eligible to receive assistance from Coins for Kids 3 times in 10 years. If you do not qualify for Coins for Kids this year, and you need assistance, we recommend you register on-line with Toys for Tots. Coins for Kids and Toys for Tots cross-references our applicants, and you will not be eligible for both.
Eligibility for Coins for Kids is a needs-based program. To demonstrate that there is a financial need for assistance, families must receive a referral letter from a qualifying organization such as the Washington County School District, Clergy, Doctor or Free Clinic. For a full list of qualifying organizations, please visit our website at www.coinsforkids.net/qualifications/.
Failure to meet the application deadlines, provide the required documentation, or show up for shopping will forfeit your eligibility to participate in the Coins for Kids program.
